This is a video showing Redneck's Catfish Bait Soap over a 21 hour period in some water so you can get a better idea how the lye soap catfish bait stays on the hook. Obviously length of time the bait stays on the hook will vary based on water temperature, current etc so this is just to give you an idea. I don't know what kind of soap your are using, but Grampa's bait was Palmolive face soap. Yes. IT DID WORK.
