    It actually does make a lot of sense. Onewa's mask is mind control, and since it's his first time using it, it takes a couple of tries to get it to work. Whenua persists, so Nuju, in an attempt to stop them from fighting, accidentally activates his mask of telekinesis and throws a bunch of rocks between them to keep them from throttling each other. I'm not sure how they could've made it clearer without Lhikan explaining this to the camera.

    Onewa was my favorite Toa of the Metru Nui sets... But... His the portrayal of his personality in this movie sucks.
