That's an ATTiny45 and a battery (OK, which consists of 2 button cells.) It has a very short range, but can transmit FM-signals. Article about it is on my site: http://spritesmods.com/?art=avrfmtx&f=yt

  • Score! If you set up the outputs for inverting PWM, and tune it down to the high 80's, you can turn PB3/PB4 into a H bridge of sorts. Got some serious range on mine. How did you keep the thing from spewing all over the spectrum. Mine's taking over almost 600 kHz of the spectrum.

  • Hey pretty cool thanks for sharing. Very cool blog too.

  • great work really. what is the tune called that is being flashed onto the controller?

  • Hmmm, did I just get roll'd or did I see the most awesome register hack evar! Initially I expected you would use the music you used with the GBA. I'm curious what the range of the 'solution' is, since you mentioned not to amplify it. Too bad you didn't pull it away from the radio during operation. AWESOME hack though, don't think those AVR guys saw this coming.
