finalcall07 - Please help me!

There are people who accuse me of leading believers astray from the truth of scripture because I tell them to be led by the Holy Spirit. Dear friends I ask you to help me here. I read this scripture from John 16:13,(NAS) the words of our Lord Jesus:
"But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come."
Now, dear friends, pleas help me here. If this is the truth, which I believe to be the truth:
Will the Holy Spirit lead me astray?
Will the Holy Spirit lie to me?
Will the Holy Spirit tell me anything differently from what Jesus said when He walked on this earth?
If the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, will He deceive me?
Can you answer that for me please?

@rustysruger You only know what Jesus is saying to you NOW if you have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will also remind you of what Jesus said when He walked on the earth.

How many "Christians" today would choose such people, or believe God would choose such people or use such people? Not many I would say. How quickly they forget, or never learn, how God works and moves. Sometimes he even uses those still in darkness, or fallen back into darkness, to shine his light. Like the old saying goes, "The Lord sure does work in mysterious ways."

If someone is a follower of Jesus they will bear the fruits of the holy spirit. Bro. Jan points to Jesus, not himself or anything else for answers. Is there ever anything wrong with pointing to Jesus. I don't agree with 100% of everything he says, does that make him horrible? We all see through a dim glass. Nobody has it completely right, but it isnt about how "right" you are, its about how much you love one another as jesus told you to.

@AmandaOakley79: It's easy for someone to "preach Jesus" and then walk away from someone who is suffering and hurting, but staying by their side and SHOWING them love is something different entirely, as words without actions to back them up are nothing more than empty whispers upon the wind.

@AmandaOakley79: One last thing though... in my experience, if someone REALLY is a TRUE Christian, it will show... it will SHINE from them like the brightest light. The last time I encountered such a person was when I was at the hospital visiting, and there was a respiratory therapist there, and just by the way he was acting and speaking and carrying himself, he shined a light, and I asked him if he was a Christian, and he said yes, and I said I can tell. He was over joyed and said thank you.

@AmandaOakley79: I always was kind of a loner, but usually had a small group of friends I "ran" with. Now I have NO friends really. It's like that Johnny Cash song Hurt says... "Everyone I know, goes away... in the end."

@AmandaOakley79: I find it ironic that despite my "darkness" and my "evil" that these holier than thou self righteous boobs say I have and am, that I am STILL infinitely more compassionate, loving, forgiving, empathetic and understanding than they are or ever will be, and they claim to have Christ in their hearts. @AmandaOakley79: It is good that you SHOW your friend love, as that is what seems to be the problem with many people calling themselves Christians nowadays, is they talk the talk, but when they try and walk the walk, they fall flat on their faces, meaning they SHOW me nothing but things I find less than appealing, like cold heartedness, indifference, judgment, incompassion and hate.

@AmandaOakley79: What I mean by "speaking from experience" is, I am not gay, but I suffer from mental illnesses, and until I became sick, I was really naive at how evil and cruel people can be, and some of the cruelest and meanest people I have ever met come to me with Jesus on their lips, but nowhere in their hearts, so I know what it is like to be shunned, reviled, ridiculed and hated over something that is not your fault.

@AmandaOakley79: I can see how gays may become hateful toward people and stuff though, because they didn't ask to be gay, it just happened, and people treat them like crap over it, and when that happens, people grow bitter, cold, and hardcore, because they get tired of being judged and insulted, and they get the "F" you attitude, because it is only human nature to do so, and I am speaking from experience.
