Not to sound like a retard but what the hell is Alpha?

@1DayWhenIWasBored Alpha is the stage before Beta. Beta is where the game is almost complete and just in a testing phase to iron out bugs; whilst an Alpha is where the game is still in development and so is considered less stable and more prone to change.

Much cooler than the one we have now.. I never understood how out of touch blizzard could be with the Dwarven architecture.. why would they only build in one level?! This is much better and more dynamic than the mediocre city we have now..

They changed it becouse it was way too big and people actually got lost in the city.

I remember in the old IF how my character was stuck there because of the insane lag I couldnt do anything :D

I love how the fires are actually lighting it up in the dark like it should.  The live game never actually has a dark night time which is sad.

It is true about the lag it caused. The computers back then just couldn't handle it. So it's size was decreased ALOT. Approx 75%. Also people often got lost in the city.
