More than one million Burmese, including more than 300,000 children, are in the most desperate need. They live in shanty towns and camps on Thailand's western border.

Thai Children's Trust helps these children during their time of desperate need by providing school facilities and a safe haven to live in.

Chenu has lost both her parents. Her mother was killed standing on a landmine, her father was shot by soldiers. Chenu is another casualty of Burma's brutal civil war. She now lives safely at Hsa Thoo Lei School in Thailand.

Please think of these children during Refugee Week (14-20 June). Each child's story is one small but precious life, needing a little help to make a proper start.
