Me and my daughter who is 8years old want to learn to knit and we bought a kit from Walmart with sizes 8 and 6 is this kit good for us both to learn with It's made by Boye. I know I can get Bamboo needles for less then $10 at Walmart.

Bamboo knitting needles (best for beginners) are usually around $10, and a basic acrylic yarn is about $5. Keep in mind that knitting needles come in a variety of sizes. I started with size 8 (5mm).
