Meny people think that muslims were cruel and barbaric but nothing can be further from the true. When Paris or London were poor and ignorant medieval Cordoba had public baths, libraries with half a million books of poetry philosophy and science, or even light in the streets...

Moor comes from the Greek word mauros (Greek orthography μαύρος, plural μαύροι) meaning "dark" to all the different peoples inhabitating nort Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) mainly Berebers. in medieval Spain they used that word for all the muslims even the Andalusians who were hispanic people converted to Islam.
