  • Yes, but for a country that had a revolution ot get rid of our monarchy, it seems strange.

Also, I had bush down for the Royalist, not Obama.

Its so difficult to work out whats going on, and im getting rly pssed off with it all actually.

  • Mike, the man who wrote "My Country Tis of Thee" actually found the tune as the GERMAN version. He did not know at the time that it was, ironically, the same used for the British anthem. Look it up and maybe you can appreciate that it is now a different time period and it is a beautiful tune that more than one country is fortunate enough to share. God Save the Queen AND President Obama.

  • Sorry, what did you say ?

    Co-incidence, was it ? Ironic ? Just a Fluke ?

Thats ok then. I thought the govt was putting stuff in front of peopels faces, and laughing again. How jolly, that its just another silly govt bumbling.

Amazing how much this happens. Like the 5 pointed star in washington, and 9-11 inside job.

But thanks for clearing it up for me, i will go back to sleep now, like you !!

  • By the way, I want to clarify that this is NOT America's national anthem.

  • yes, thats right. It was just s illy, and ironic slip.

It could have been the french, spanish or yugoslavian tune, but it juts HAPENED to be the british one.

    Yes i see.

Those sill y whitehouse staff cant help making little cock ups like that. Amazing how they seem so efficient on the tv, then they go and "accidentaly" play teh British anthem, instead of your own.

    Im not ocmplaining, im british.

I think you could do with a bit of britishness, to calm you down.

Prozac is th e norm, here.

  • Mike, you're a trip- you've got me laughing over here. I hope you're having a great day!

  • @mikeybrumbrum Eh, Yugoslavia was part of the Holy Roman Empire in the 1800s.And yes.Them Yanks can't make shit.

  • Hey man, you laugh all you like. Over here' the queens staff dont accidentally play the tune to the german anthem, at the queen's coronation, know what i mean.

Thats was probably set up by McCain and bush. I bet they were at their ranches howling with laughter, as their old friend the musician starts playing his tune and obama says "Hey missy, dunt that sound like the brit anthem?".

And she says "shucks hunny, i dont know".

Its just to show that they can make him look stupid form day 1.

  • Its just a reminder that so many other nations have used our anthem in some way or another just by adding new lyrics. Prussia (GermanY) used the god save the Queen tune at some stage too.

  • I wonder how the national anthem got int here.

It was only a little sneak, but al brits must have noticed that there can be NO coincidence there.

They were "inserting" GOD SAVE THE QUEEN !!!
