Do you know if the GT-10 can handle a line level +4db signal in it's loop, or just stomp levels (-10db)? The manual doesn't say.

i just got a gt-10 and i have an all tube combo (randall mts rm100c). I got a series and parallel effects loop on my combo (patent by randall). I want to run it 4 cable. Do you eve run the boss gt-10 EQ in front of your JSX crunch channel as a pre-distortion eq? Just wondering what you think of the EQ. I'm thinking of using it as tone shaping for convenience (rather than a nice analog EQ pedal). I'm only asking cause I can't crank it at loud volumes that often.

i think the gt-10 eq does the job as long as you dont use too much of it e.g lots of treble etc. when connecting the gt-10 through 4cm the eq gets put inbetween the amps channels, even if i used a stompbox type eq pedal id still put it in the loop rather than thorugh the amps input. as long as the gt-10 is set to use the effects loop connection all the effetcs will fit into place automatically, hope this helps
