Do you really think time is short? I'm fairly new to the Christian belief system, and some people have said that we are basically just seeing history repeat itself.... that we have seen the quakes and the wars and the famines before, nothing new. What do you think?

@mcap52 there have always been quakes, wars, and famines BUT, never all together with such intensity as it is now, and it is growing in intensity and frequency as Christ said it would, just like a woman in labor. More importantly, Israel became a nation in 1948, this sign had to happen before all the others were to be looked at. This tells us that this is defenitely the final generation before Christ's return and these disturbancs are the foretold signs.
