The BOSU Ball Leg Scissors attempt to isolate the lower part of your rectus abdominis as well as your transverse abdominis.
If you have large legs, this may not be a good exercise as you will use your hip flexors too much.
If you feel your back starting to arch, lift your legs higher until your lower back can remain completely in touch with the BOSU.
