You hold down the B Button and turn the wheel to drift like a RWD car does ie sometimes you need opposite lock. The B button also jumps like in this video when you are moving in a straight line. When racing in manual you use the + direction key on the front of the wheel to use what you collect from the boxes. Forward to throw in front or backwards to throw behind. Hope this helps you :)
