.50 Blow Gun home made Part 3 of 3

This is a detailed series how to make .50" blow gun dart ammo. The tube is simple 1/2 inch thick wall PVC pipe. You can stay as simple or get extravagant as you'd like to with the tube itself. The idea of a .50 blow gun came from Dave Canterbury at Wilderness Outfitters. I borrowed his idea to use a 1/2 inch wiring nut and built up two different types of home made darts as well.

I saw Dave C's blowgun vid the other night and went out and made myself one out of a single 3 ft peice. But what I like about your vid is the tip on using the special bit for removing the wire in the wirenut as well as using it to center the hole - I was having a bit of trouble with this albeit I managed, but your tip will make making my next set of darts a whole lot easier. I also like the paint job and the tip for using the cord to "align" it. Thanks! 8^)

One of the best home made blow guns I have seen. I just love the way they sound so silent almost sounds like those cheesy silencers they use to have in the 80s movies. But the best part is your darts love em!!

Hey if you buy the plastic electrical conduit instead of pvc you will get a much stiffer tube

Very good, I have been using wire nuts for over 25 years and they are perfect both with or without a rod or piano wire coming out the end. I may soon put up "The worlds Most Powerful Blowgun" that I built over 20 years ago. It is all machined and looks very futuristic. But the Power is absolutely incredible !! I believe the velocity to be 800 fps or much greater depending on the weight and projectile used. Thanks for the videos, you did a great job and I enjoyed watching them.
