All these incidents like Free Tibet have absolutely nothing to do with Michael Phelps winning 8 gold medals or Usain Bolt being the star in the Bird's Nest in Track and Field.

The protesters had a chance to block the IOC's decision to pick Beijing to host the Olympics back in 2001 and they failed.
Telling people to boycott the Olympics won't stop the Olympics.

Well, now that the olympics are over, and Tibet is still a part of China, the Free Tibet movement shall be easily crushed.

The Beijing Olympics wasn't boycotted successfully. The presidents of US, France, and many other countries who said they would not come ended up coming. What's with that?
I'm happy for them to come, or they'd miss out.

Boycotting the beijing olympics is pointless and it would not change anything in China. It would only brings regrets to those athletes who spend years on practice for the olympics.
