great god, i heard there are huge catfish near the dam at buckhill in lugoff..
but on the other side at the tailrace you can catch alot of nice size channels..i dont think i ever caught a blue cat out of wateree.

but i used to go out to clearwater in camden or buck hill, but a couple of weekends ago i went on my friends grandpas fan boat down the wateree river and we went giggin , and i gigged roughly 25 pound channel cat. it was pretty badass..

Nice cat, im from lugoff and i got out to lake wateree all the time and only catch little channel cats, wut do you use for bait?

where are u fishing on Lake Wateree where you would catch a 78 pound fish. Ive been fishing there for 15 years and seen nothing close to that.

Big bait will get you a big Most of the time.Not knowing alot about your rigging size of rod type of setup etc.
Bream,carp,crappie and shad are all good,opps white perch heads (the Bigger the better) are the best bait right now with a #4-8/0 laser cicrle hook on a carolina rig.....shhhhh
