Yeah, and put Firefighters out of business, more jobs lost.

I'm sure Al Gore wouldn't approve of this.

The sprinkler system would ruin a home just as much as a fire when triggered, the entire house would have to be gutted

@Rainbowtardiful hey, sprinklers like those cant be used for wildfires can they?
-
Ok It's "Fire drilling time!! so, Pay attention! Ready State Farm?
-
@Rainbowtardiful Actually, it saves firefighter lives and has virtually no impact on firefighter employment. At least not until you approach complete sprinkler coverage because you staff according to the maximum likely threat; you won't lay someone off because a few more houses have sprinklers...

When I'm making steak and the fire alarm goes off, I don't want to be doused with water thanks.

@mcfatass301 does he approve of anything?

@Rainbowtardiful Not really, simple sprinklers wont save every disaster. But it is a good asset to help save your homes. If a fire started in my home and i had sprinklers i wouldn't trust them with my life, id still call the fire department for professionals. Sprinklers aren't meant to put the FD out of business, its to help save lives.
According to the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition, if installed during new home construction, home fire sprinklers often cost no more than 1 to 1.5% of the total building cost.
