Watch more of the Moon Missions here:http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/when-we-left-earth-nasa-missions/

Before Apollo 11, space was a destination. Now, it's a scientific opportunity. This sneak peek watches astronauts transform from pilots to explorers, and relives the drama of Apollo 13.

  • Find a new religion.

  • @procommenter They didnt Do a Saturn V launch to go nowhere and brought back fake rocks You really are blind

  • the Apollo program was one of the main reasons we have functional fuel cells.

  • hmmm...i feel like walking on the moon =P

  • what actually powered the lunar rover? batteries? if so must have been strong as it looks as though it can travel pretty fast. I also like how he (narrator) says they went offroad on the moon! as if he was implying there was roads there. At least thats what I initially thought! LOL

  • Commander Dave Scott and LMP Jim Irwin actually used the first lunar rover on Apollo 15.
