  • Jazz from another era. Beautifully lyrical, sensitive, and poetic. Earl Zindars is the composer of this lovely piece.

  • @BeBopElmo Thank you for your remark. I obviously mixed something up here...

  • @Bruningable Thanks for adding Earl Zindars as the composer of Elsa. Composers, lyricists, and individual performers are often overlooked in YouTube uploads, both jazz and classical. Listeners like me really appreciate these details so we can look elsewhere for other contributions of these wonderful artists. "Explorations" is one of my favorite albums and a great memorial to Scott LaFaro, Paul Motian, Earl Zindars, Bill Evans, and their special relationship.

  • @BeBopElmo That's exactly the way I´m thinking about it. And I mean both the information that should go along with a video and the wonderful "Explorations" album. Have a nice day.

  • I have now found my jazz hero(es)

  • @orchestr8 would have killed to see him play live. this album is one of my favourites. i love most of the spectrum of music, and evans is one of those few artists who can surpass genre and time and remain brilliant, emotionally compelling and awe inspiring.

  • I spent many an hour seeing him play at the Vanguard in NYC, He was the most gifted and subtle musician of the the 60 and 70's. I talked with him several times and he was always kind, supportive ....and relevant. for those of you too young to have had the chance to wonder off the street and go down the stairs at the Vanguard...you missed a moment in history that was special !!

  • My name is Elsa and when my sis showed me this... I liked it cuz the title of it is my name... but then I looked at the pic and the pianist looked kind of dead to me.. like a bit morbid... and then I do not know if I should be happy or not hahhahahs.... but I like the music a whole lot... Very hard to find great music these days..

  • Thanks again for your wonderful channel and for keeping Bill Evans alive. Happy New Year.
