After being out of commission for a few days (sickness), Gregsynth is BACK with a concert I'm SURE people will love! It is Inglewood 1980! The original bootleg had some major issues with speed, tempo, and was in desperate need of a remaster! Like the Dublin 1984 concert, I spent a couple days cleaning up the gig for everybody to listen to! The quality is pretty good (not excellent by ANY means, though), and Freddie's voice is in excellent shape! This is the gig before the Oakland 1980 concert I have up, so it's up to you people to decide if Inglewood or Oakland is better!

Note: During We Will Rock You (Fast version), the band has NO idea where they are at in the beginning--so Freddie just sings the first verse regardless (gotta love him)!

Note 2: Here's yet ANOTHER awesome photo of the ever-popular Freddie Mercury! Gotta love those teeth!

  • It's official Somebody to Love live in Munich 1982 is now in the top five of his best performances. The quality sucks but I never heard him hit higher notes that perfectly ever live on stage, Greg you really should post that entire gig just for the sake of the performance. People always talk about the C5 note, I don't know but the note he hits sounds like the C5 and it was never better than Munich 82. I am black and I can say Freddie is among the greatest soul singers of all time!

  • OK!

I'll get that up: STL is a highlight of that show!

  • @1980Triumph I think the Sao Paulo WATC C5 is the best ever C5 I've heard Freddie make live...and it'd probably in the top 10 ever even in the studio...I've never heard him pump up out a C5 so strongly and easily as that show.

  • You love that version!

  • Not every performance can be perfect, he seems to be grasping at straws with the ad libs here, nothing amazing. He almost sounds like he is drunk....lol

    God bless his soul........lol

  • The ad-libs are different every time!

  • Oh, it's definitely a top version! I also love the C5 he gets!

  • one of the best performances of this song methinks. I loves the subtle changes Freddie makes here and there.
