  • We generally don't use the term hispanic in Australia..mainly just use the word latin.

    In the 80's there were quite a few people who came here as refugees from Chile,Argentina,Nicaragua and El Salvador.

    There are also small communities of other spanish speaking South Americans here as well.

  • i agree, "Latin" is more commonly used here, but "Hispanic Fiesta" was what the festival was called :)
