Prof. Eisenman begins his course on the Dead Sea Scrolls with a history of the Hebrews.

"The books used in this course are:

An Old Testament including the Aprocrypha (the one being used in this course is The Jerusalem Bible, but any O.T./N.T.will do so long as it contains the Apocrypha)

Josephus, The Jewish War (occasional references being made to The Antiquities and Vita)

Robert Eisenman, The Dead Sea Scrolls and the First Christians (which contains Hebrew text and translations of three principal Qumran Documents: The Damascus Document, the Community Rule, and the Habakkuk Pesher, as well as his earlier essays: Maccabees, Zadokites, Christians, and Qumran and James the Just in the Habakkuk Pesher first published by E. J. Brill in Leiden, Holland, 1983-85 but now out-of-print)

One might also wish to look at Robert Eisenman's The New Testament Code: The Cup of the Lord, the Damascus Covenant, and the Blood of Christ and James the Brother of Jesus: The Key to Unlocking the Secrets of Early Christianity and the Dead Sea Scrolls, as well as Michael Baigent and Richard Leigh, The Dead Sea Scrolls Deception and other translations of Scroll texts, such as those by Martin Abegg, Michael Wise, Geza Vermes, or Florentino Garcia-Martinez."

  • This can't actually be a serious course at an accredited college. He can't spell pseudepigrapha and anything he said about Enoch was incorrect except for his correction of Enoch being six after Adam. Assuming too much while knowing too little.

  • One of the most important assumptions this guy makes, with which I agree, is that people have not changed much in 2,000 years. In other words, we moderns ain't so great and we aren't more advanced than our most recent ancestors; we might even be less evolved--i.e. we have devolved it seems to me.

  • i can sum up this guy as either delusionally arrogant or just an arrogant pathological liar, just make up your self-indulgent fairytales that you expect intelligent people to take as actual history. So who taught you that you can "believe literature" but you can't believe "recorded history". How do you have a job if people in your field believed this way, there would be no department, or "college of.." You tried to brainwash the whole room with this crap, ask the archaeology dept if they agree

  • He is a liar, and if he represents the idealogy of the university system then the whole thing is from hell. First of all, Enoch left this earth at 365 years old, he was taken by God, the God of the Bible, the One True God. He also expects people to believe that since he is referring to a copy of a scripture in a different language means it was a lie. This logic begs me to ask what language was the truth spoken in. 29000 known ancient Bibles, 60 of Homer's fiction, don't believe a lie.

  • I just heard of Dr. Eisenman the other day. They said he was let go for exposing the truth behind the DSS. I wanted to see what he exposed. This video is named DSS, but is all Bible. Where can I find Eisenman on DSS? I ordered his book, but interested in video.

  • You're de-luted if you believe that!

  • Son of Man coming on the Clouds of Heaven

  • Esenman is gangsta!!!! woop woop!!

  • Thanks so much. I have two of Eisenman's books, I just love them.

  • Thank you for this video.
