The Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "The Warmth of Other Suns" discusses the legacy of the "Great Migration" of African Americans and explains why it is so deeply embedded in American culture. In this clip she describes how some of our musical icons like John Coltrane or Miles Davis wouldn't have been who they are without the great migration.
