I used to go to Buddy's weekly jam sessions at Jubilations in NE Ft. Worth. It was just a walk in, sit down, no cover event he did and to see him play regularly through the Dr. Z amps he'd bring, typically a Prescription and a MAZ as I recall, was really an education in great guitar technique and tone.

Hi Mitchwild...yes Sir, you are dead right! I too enjoyed a wonderful gig last night. I think Buddy is getting better and better.....his solo before the Freddy King style instrumental was awsome .................mind you, all his playing is. Buddy is right up there with the greats in my view. I love the BB club! Well under £20 to be sitting that close to a guitar great ??? Fantastic. I just wish I could have got my own band the support slot !!

pleased to say that BW played the boom boom club again at the weekend. The big fella treated us to a blistering show despite what many thought was not the best sound out in the audience. (the sound guy obviously thought it was fine 'cos he sat there all night with his arms folded ! ) What a great player this man is.....tasteful, slick, feel and timing. What more could we ask for ? There was a slightly awkward moment when local guest P.George intro'd him as Buddy GUY !!! Can't wait for next tour!
