I have rung there many times as I used to live in Lincolnshire. You weoulod not get deafened out on the west front, the bell openings are bricked up a long way and there's a sound box on the roof of the tower, so the sound of the bells is lifted up and away from the cathedral rather than being too powerful in the vicinity.

@irkibby Indeed I did. I heard them attempting a quarter (I think it was Cambridge Max - unsuccesful.) They sound good outside too!!
Did you go on the balcony just outside the RR? The view's AMAZING!! (Ducked in before they rang - didnt fancy being deafened!!)

These are one of the best rings I've ever rung on - Taylor's in their heyday. They gowell, and they sound nice.
Another good Taylor's ringis ChristChurch, Swindon. Now THEY are GOOD!!
