@ile44franci Oh, certainly not a disaster, but he knew going in that he could never fill such shoes, that fans had adored that voice. He was very good before Journey, and with them; everyone has bad nights! Steve Perry never "called it in" he always gave 110%, no matter how he was feeling, and after years of that I'm sure it was not the best way to preserve that beautiful voice forever! Being the perfectionist that he is I wonder if he has fears he'll disappoint fans who still expect "Escape"?

@Cabbie14u No one is sorrier than I, but Perry will never tour again: he's said so as recently as last month (age, arthritis---come on, he'll be 63 in a couple weeks, he ain't 33 anymore!). He also said flat out, re: the rumors of him joinging them on stage: no, it just isn't going to happen. I don't know if we'll even get anymore recordings from him, tho I think he can do it. I'm just grateful we'll always have the MAGIC he created, especially now on the new VINYL, as it was meant to be!

Geez relax, this isn't an easy song to sing live at all, and Augeri did a good job with it. Respect.

TERRIBLE!!!!!! I bailed after 30 seconds,,..,no interest in listening to someone trying to copy the original. The same basic comment is all over Jouney songs on YouTube but I'll say it again. NO ONE REPLACES STEVE PERRY - IT CAN'T BE DONE! Current Journey memebers take heed - get it together before it's 'too late' (pun intended) and get Steve to tour again.
