  • 7 Goblins.

  • @demariosworthit There is also power in numbers. If someone could remember the names of ten thousand people and became genuinly interested in people, remembering their likes and dislikes and what not, that person would have ten thousand people that would help him or her in whatever he/she needed or wanted. Whether thats used for starting a buisness or fundraisers for blind children the result of combined effort of legions organized by a person that had a great memory could be GREAT.

  • @demariosworthit Knowledge is power and if someone had a greater ability to retain that power then that person could become powerful. People don't realise how much they have to gain by becoming interested in other people, even something so simple as remembering someones name and greeting them with it and a smile gos a long way in winning friends and influencing people.

  • While I believe that the possesion of the ability itself doesn't make someone special or more important than others, I believe that what someone can do with the ability can make them special and or do special things. People do not think, they live life on instinct and autopilot with more focus on themselves instead of others. If it is true that synesthesia can promote a superior memory the possibilities could be endless.

  • @macpduff Sunday is pale blue, Monday is yellow, Tuesday is bright green, Wednesday is orange, Thurdsay is dark green, Friday is indigo. Saturday is Friday, but deeper. :)

  • @evphenomenon Like the video said, synaesthesia's actually pretty common. You'd be suprised how easy it is to start a conversation about graphemes and colors, and to some people it's very interesting. :)

  • I don't think it's right to say ALL synaesthetes will answer the way you said they would... there are several different kinds of synaesthesia other than grapheme-color. But yeah, it's a fascinating subject. :D I started asking my friends what colors in numbers they saw in fifth grade. I was suprised when one said she didn't see anything. XD

  • @1xDRCx it is a greek word, as most of the terms in science. In the greek alphabet (24 letters), they are two different e with the same pronunciation. One is like the capital E but smaller and the other is ai .The word synaesthesia came from syn means plus+ and aesthesis means sense. So you are right it can be spelled either way. The european preference has to do with the historical origin of the word.

  • It's red. Lets Dance.... But what happens with people with imagination? I mean I'm not sure about my synaesthesia, my A is red, but i can imagine all letteres in all colours. If you say imagine a red H, i can do it, no problem. But if you ask me what colour is H, or W, or J, im not really sure. A is red tho. Yes i can picture it in different colours if necessary. Not by personal choice.

I also agree that it is quite common. People just dont pay attention to what is going on in their brains.

  • @quantumcake, for me it has practical use in remembering phone numbers, birthdays, etc... and I rarely, if ever, misspell a word.
