I think this mod is better than the original game, frantically. Both are magic in their own way, but TNM really catched me from the beginning to the end. The only things I don't like are the hero's selectable skins, no one matches really with my tastes.

@Unclevertitle DX: HR's theme is very different, and I love it as well. Very mysterious and breathing atmosphere. It's not meant to be bombastic and intrusive like this. You could never properly play this song during the game, but you can with DX: HR's theme. Both great in their own ways.

I agree, with one caveat, it DOES breathe accomplishment, relief, and mystery in a beautiful blend, most certainly, and this tied with the opening credits sequence this was one heck of a hook when I first loaded the game. However, and this is my only however, it doesn't quite catch that "save the world" feel that the original Deus Ex did fantastically.
The entire soundtrack though, I'd say is overall better than Deus Ex's.
This theme really puts Deus Ex: HR's theme to shame.

Ever since I started playing TNM I've taken frequent breaks just to listen to this theme song. Can't get enough of it.

@Abon666 Yes, you are clearly completely right. It is me who has been PREVENTING them from playing it! Why on EARTH did I do that if I wanted them to experience how good it is!? My actions thus far have been nonsensical! I should stop being a jerk and LET my friends play it!
Thank you for opening my eyes, I now see the error of my ways! All along all that was needed was for me to stop monopolising a free, publically available mod that can be downloaded by anyone at any time.

@pentherapy Let them play it then.
I do believe this game deserves Mod of the Year.

In total agreement, 7 years in development is a long period of life-time to spend on a mod project, their devotion alone and determination to ultimately release the mod in a finished state, let alone stick with it until the end at all, gives them rights to claim the "Mod of the Year" award from MODDB.
