  • I was able to learn and perform this in about two hours.. it was pretty frustrating. I think something that helped me though was Mike's video on performing the Bossa Nova. I think that built a decent foundation for this.

  • HOLY CRAP!!! This sounds so impossible yet doable. Thanks for posting that Mike. I can't wait to get home and try it out!

  • I don't want to forget this lesson idea!!! I've been trying my own version of this for many years but not as complicated as Mikes version or Terry for that matter... hehe Mike is the Man!!! Mike please check my fb post about this I have way more than 500 characters in thoughts about all of this... Thanks for being so cool about sharing the drum lessons

  • are you doing the triplets at the beginning of each beat....i understand how to count 1and 2 and 3 and 4 and......where exactly are the triplets.....

  • Thanks from Australia,I'll work through these excercises.

  • This is all very fun but when are you going to get past the 3s and 4s and on to more difficult things? How about a real improv on the right hand instead of 4/3 polymeters over and over again?

  • u explained it very well and something that's challenging

    love the video buddy

  • Cool, dude! Thanks for sharing this delicious stuff!

  • @mikemichalkowdrums very rewarding mike thank you very much. I find this the most effective method of practise for me coz I really struggle staying focused with rudiments & single stroke rolls at 40 bpm (which I do need to practise for sure!) so this kind of stuff is really motivating. Do you have an intermediate routine like this that works the pulse of left foot on hi-hat? Many thanks Mike.
