  • How come you need chains in that little amount of snow?

  • because i should have gone to the mountain

  • Beetle is awesome. My coworkers makes fun of it, but they do not know it's a kind of car that grows on you over time.

  • i used to think these were the gayest cars ever but my mom got one and now its my favorite car. just getting into it and seeign the four foot long dashboard makes me smile every day

  • Sound like a tractor!

  • I've got a 99 TDI Beetle I use for work. It's showing just a little over 435,000 miles. Original engine, head, turbo, trannie & clutch. It still gets up & down the highway pretty good. Averages about 45 mpg. I'm shooting for 500, 000 then I don't know what I'll do. I guess keep on driving it until it just quits:). It had 130, 000 miles on it when I bought it 4 years ago from the folks that had bought it new. it happens to be yellow too. VW must have had truck loads of yellow paint!!!!!!

  • ..averaging about 580miles per tank with full AC blast in August last year. Highest temp I've seen on the car's overhead thermometer was 113 degrees farrenheit in the Mohave desert. Also driven down to Dallas from Northern NJ this past November, I just love this car, it is a blast to drive one, and I look forward to hitting the 200K miles in the next few years.

  • I have the 2006 Beetle GLS TDI 5Speed with PD engine. It goes from 60-100 like in 4.5 seconds, and it is bone stock. I will be updating the engine management software after I have my first timing belt change next month with RocketChip, it should unleash another 40ft/lb of torque, expecting to shave off the 0-60 and 60-100 timing by another second or so. Can't wait. This is my third TDI and VW has never let me down. I've driven cross country from NJ to LA then to Portland, OR

  • @peterkim1999

For sure, I got a Turbo Beetle pass down to me for a 1st car. Those cars drive too good for only women to have all the fun. It isn't until I pass a store window that I realize I'm in a Bug. lol
