open g, off his 1941-42 field recordings by ....Alan Lomax I think.




Alan went south to record Robert Johnson but found out he was dead and people told him to find Eddie and the rest is history.
*I mistakenly titled this video 'Low down dirty dog blues' originally, because of only glancing at the title on the record, but counted the little lines on it wrong, I just assumed it was low down dirty dog blues because of the verse.

Agree Son House is the real king, although I am partial to Skip James, just he didn't get as much exposure as Son House did.  Nicely played!

naw never saw it... I'm not a big fan of what Jack White does to most blues songs also, allthough I can dig him bringing blues to a new audience.

Especially the song "keep it clean" by , I believe Charley Jordan, it's an amazing song but after I heard Jack Whites version I was like 'What's he thinking?'
