China Earthquake Aftermath: Rescue effort continues as death toll expected to rise

The rescue operation is continuing in China's Quinghai province after the powerful earthquake that killed 617 people. Thousands more are injured, after the 6.9-magnitude quake destroyed many homes and devastated vital infrastructure. The Chinese government has allocated 30 million dollars for relief and mobilised over five thousand troops and medical workers.
