EDIT: (Soon to come mac startup and shutdowns!!) Yes ALOT of Windows beta's prototype's builds wutever u wanna call em and also final releases. heres a follow up on all of the releases

1) 1.0- dos with color couldnt do crap
2) 2.0- upgraded very little more to do though

3) Windows 3.1 - Dos with pictures.

4) Windows 95 - 32 bit processing, Registry added
and quite fast with RAM.

5) Windows 98 - More improvements. Some nice features
added (msconfig, sfc, etc.) Pretty reliable
and easy to repair. 32 bit Drive conversion
a major plus.

6) Windows ME - 98 on steroids...not all of it successful. A
couple of good features in "go back",
image viewing, etc. But quite shaky in many
other areas. Checking the forums, you'll
see a LOT of weird problems using ME. And
I mean weird.

7) Windows 2000 - Big, but solid and reliable. Gates attempt to
completely take over the Networking business
world. Many good features - much improved
Plug & Pray detection, can be run under FAT32
or NTFS. Reliable and self-fixable (largely).

8) Windows XP - I've been using it about 6 months. I like it.
Based on the 2000 platform, pretty solid.
MANY nice features: CD-burning built-in, P&P
is very good, nice appearance. I've spotted
a couple of minor bugs - but they are small.

9) Windows Vista- Stable os not the best in my opinion number of bugs more then xp but STABLE

So the shakiest of the bunch is ME. Gates wanted to release this
in the interim, so he could make bucks while working on 2000 and
eventually XP.
