@gluband That's very true, but Disney does have some part in this (in a way). When Spielberg was making this film, he wanted to do some sort of spiritual sequel to the 1924 film, and the Disney film. Though not officialy related or anything, Disney did inspire Spielberg. Alot of fans though, see Hook as a sequel to the 2003 movie, and to be honest, I can see the reasons why.

just so you know, Disney didn't make this one. Amblin...Speilberg's film company. I believe it was released through Tristar.
Disney has only ever made animated Peter Pan movies.
