Here's the landing and Takeoff of Air Force One carrying president Obama. It is a militarized version of a Boeing 747-200, with tons of defense systems, and manueverabilities. It is said by many to be the safest and the most technologically advanced airplane, designed mostly in part to get the president around safely.

What does this cost the tax payer? This is bullshit when we can hardly afford a family vacation. The president or any president does not need such luxury when only going from one state to another. Try a smaller plane

@3paynes Honestly I was too! The thing was, they didn't let us park anywhere near where we were standing. We could park elsewhere, and walk over. They didn't let any car that close. And the secret service and cops had their hands on the gun the entire time, fully ready! But hey, it was really cool that they let us do that. One thing I like about this airport is that there are a few observation areas, and I was standoing at 2 of them for the take off and landing. Love this airport!
