@zman500cool The 321 people who disliked this video may be deaf themselves. There are many deaf people who are against the use of implants. The implants are difficult to use if implanted at an older age. These parents had hearing and did the right thing for the child. Deaf parents most likely would not have the procedure done.

@W3iRDiOXD You're an idiot. The baby is beautiful. I think the mother wasn't prepared for the baby's reaction. I think she had prepared for the worst ... that he would never hear. In today's world everyone needs to hear. It's better if the implants are put in at a very young age.

Ohhh I cant stop watching jonathan!!! This vid is so wonderfull Im melting, so much cuteness!
I bet all the 300+ dislikes are from users who ARE NOT parents.. they wouldn't understand..
And if those are the first words you say to your child, you should be telling him/her how much you love them.. just saying..

@subarun3 They would not be the first words to the child. They may have been the first he heard but either way what does it matter what words are spoken? He doesn't speak English. He doesn't speak any language or form memories of the moment. The interaction is all that's important.

of course if you are old enough you get to make the decision, but as a child you are under your parents custody and in every religion i know of, the child is the parents responsibility, and the parents job is to too whats best for their child, and its best for a child to be able to hear the sound of his mothers voice, a oncoming car during traffic, a warning, or the sound of someone he loves say i love you. Leave religion out of this, god loves the educated, medical procedures are a blessing.

@amina6688 Religion has nothing to do with it, Responsibility and guardianship of a child's welfare is a legal responsibility and religion or a lack of it has no bearing upon this.
