Anyways my point being was the lack of faith or cultivation thereof in ones life to seek the source of life, the potential of good and love we are each capable of and seeing in ourselves and others. To know there is an Author of this life and world, and how much each of us are so loved that He would create us, give us our gifts and talents, offer us His life, peace, and joy we will not find from others or things; hope, i believe would fill our hearts to overcome whatever life may throw at us.

It is a sad thought to know people can lose hope and value of themselves and the world around them. There are many circumstances that can effect the delicate human psyche and weigh down the human spirit. You touched on it when you mentioned that our peace and joy seems to be dependent on the opinion of others. When we become too dependent on others for our happiness, or become attached to certain things (addictions etc.), i feel we will only end up dissappointed and frustrated.
