Doll House-Chapter 1
The sky was a light shade of purple fading into blue. The whole street filled with a musky scent, which led from an old abandoned house at the end of the dark street. The house was big, with red and white paint scraping off the wooden boards laden on the house's structure. Inside everything looked old and rugged, the antique figures spread round the living room and into the kitchen. The stairs made creaking noises as footsteps tapped its way to a room. "So this is my bedroom?" the snooty girl stuck up her nose at the cobwebs in the corner and turned to face her friend. "Lighten up Selena." A boy with dark brown hair stepped in playfully pushing the girl. "No! I will not!! I can't believe Miley let you choose this place for the weekend Joe!!" She ranted making Joe sigh, starting to play with his Selena's hair "It was the best we could afford. Now come help get the bags from the car," he practically ordered walking out the room and down the stairs to 4 of his friends. After two hours of just sitting in the living room watching old re-runs on an old poorly lit and shaky television Joe stood up looking at the others in disgrace "C'mon guys!! We're on HOLIDAY!!!! I'm going to go explore!" He then walked to the door hoping someone, anyone would join him but no one even so much as lifted a finger. He walked up the crooked stairs and graced upon a door at the hallways far end. It was rusty, the paint crusted and as if obliterated at some points. Joe caressed the handle taking its detail into care before opening it and stepping inside to find nothing. Nothing; all that lay in the room was dust covering the floorboards, and a shelf with only 1 book on it. He sighed shutting the door but getting the shock of his life seeing a girl in the corner wearing a simple red dress, which looked beautiful, but at the bottom of the dress it was torn, muddy and the odd threads all tangled. The length was no longer than her knees and she had a necklace made of thorns. He looked closer at her immensely beautiful features; her skin was pale, she had a nice light brown hair colour to match and her lips were red like cherries. Joe stepped closer in shock and touched the girl's cheek to find she was just a life size porcelain doll. She was a peculiar sight to him; he locked his eyes on the sight, hoping he wasn't just delusional. He then heard a snapping noise coming from outside of the house and looked out the window seeing just a normal street, but for a moment he just stared. In that short time his gaze was off of the porcelain doll, the doll's head tilted to one side confused at what Joe was; she hadn't been around humans for centuries and now felt excited to see one up close. She abruptly straitened herself to her original position as Joe turned back. He felt as though something had been moved out of place but shrugged it off turning out to the hallway. The porcelain doll stood still as if all she could do was tilt her head, which was true. She whispered not moving her lips, speaking without breath like there was no oxygen in the air, "Help me."
