You do realize, that mustangs are not technically wild horses...they're a feral mixed breed of horses bred down for centuries. Cool video though! Love the song!

Here in New Zealand, they do yearly musters of the Kaimanawa's then auction them off, but they do this so that enough land remains to suport the Kai's themselves and other wildlife.

Do you know what happens to the mustangs they round up out west here in canada? How they say they find them all homes? Very few end up with homes in the long run. they sell them cheap. People buy them not realizing what a wild mustang really is, They buy them for their kids .. 50 bucks.... Some one gets hurt, the horse is abused, then sold, or shipped for meat... It's a tragic story. Some of them do find good homes. But I am sad to say the majority of them don't. :'(

They are only 28,000 Mustangs left in the wild down from 2 MILLION in 1900, 1 MILLION in 1980 and the BLM wants to remove 12,000 more in 2011/2012! PLEASE CALL, WRITE and E-MAIL your Senators and demand they support and pass S.1176! The ILLEGAL activities against our Mustangs MUST STOP NOW!!!!! AND THIS BILL WILL ALSO STOP THE NEEDLESS AND INHUMANE SLAUGHTERING OF ALL EQUINES!! Here in America WE THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN, WE WANT COMPANION RIGHTS FOR OUR HORSES!!
