  • This is not a Nilsson song, but it has the same title as the Nilsson song that was used as the theme for The Courtship of Eddie's Father TV series.

  • @imanuglyfrog -- according to the harrynilsson website, Scott Turner and BH wrote the original, which is the song you posted with BH singing. BHJ died in 1959, but many of his recordings were re-mixed & released years after his death. HN did not contribute to the original version. HN later substantially added to the tune and received a co-writer credit, and recorded it himself in 1962. As a result, all subsequent recordings or reissuances of the tune must show HN as a co-writer of it.

  • @LTCUSARet if you read my last comment then you would see that this isn't BH singing, this was recorded in 1962, BH died 1959, Turner and Holly and Nilsson all had an input to the lyrics, Nilsson probably altering them because he had an awful memory which is how he became a song writer in the first place, hence the credits, + this IS a young Nilsson singing albeit under the pseudonym of Bo Pete. The address of the studio's is in my last comment, you can contact them for confirmation.
