In the book they're 30 years old in the ending scene. In the movie they're not :)

@lagrenounouille I don't think they're 30 either. I'm Swedish, so I understand most of what they are saying. From what I can gather, Helge said "Don't you understand? Yngve is sick, Jarle" when they were fighting in the alley. Then Jarle went to Yngve's house and his little sister said that he was at a mental hospital and Jarle then took a bus there right away. So I don't see how they could possibly be in their 30s.

@EvilxXxNightmare Well your theory is bullocks.How,in your opinion,is it possible for that kid(i assume it's Yngve's sister)to have remained as young and beautiful while ageing of 30 years?You wanna tell me that the cute little girl of maybe seven or eight years around 2:56 is really 38?Or,why would someone wear the same hair cut and the exact same clothes after 30 years,without the latter being any worn out?And besides, this isn't german. I am and i don't understand a word of it. Its norwegian!

@EvilxXxNightmare Haha you're cute, I'm a German, too. And i can't understand it cause it's in Norwegian language ; ) When I first saw it on German TV and then on youtube by another account, it was dubbed into German, so I understood everything, and there was no indication of the kiss happening when they are 30. Let's break of the conversation, I think I'm right and you think you are. Thanks for trying to help me, anyway ; ) One of my favourite movies...

@suffl Lol somehow they just get mad at eachother and they just don't see eachother intill years later when they're 30. Simple as that. I don't know why, but that's how the movie is. =/

@EvilxXxNightmare Huh? Why 30? I always thought Jarle didn't go to school for some days and then Helge brings him to go with him to that pub and in the end Jarle visits Yngve. So the kiss comes about 1-3 weeks after the party? Please, explain it to me, I'm a bit confused cause i've seen this film a few times and first 2 years ago..^^
