  • Do you have a disc lock where the actual alarm unit isn't made of plastic? I bought one of these but fear it wouldn't take much more than a small torch lighter the quickly melt through the siren in the lock and render it useless.

  • @jetjaxon Dear Jet, many thanks for your comment... yes, our new XX series locks present an uninterrupted stainless-steel surface to the attacker (see our XX videos here). With regards the XZZ6L and its plastic component, regardless of what a thief could accomplish with a torch lighter -- and it would be a while before the internal components themselves were affected -- this kind of attack would have zero effect on the lock itself, which would still have to be removed.   • why does it say on the lock 110 db but the comment in the video says 120? which is it?
