I disagree about the comment about Spock not having an emotional life. Spock struggled with his emotions. He was half HUMAN, for goodness sake!
Unlike Tuvok, who was fully Vulcan. Anyway I think Obama at least LOOKS more like Tuvok. (No, that was not rascist, I was simply comparing 2 individuals.)

Spock is not a dirty word, you know. The right-wing pundits thought that they could make fun of Mr. Obama's cool demeanor and looks (those ears! those cheekbones! those lips!) by labeling him as "Spock," but it had exactly the opposite effect. Trekkies admire Spock. We can't get enough of him, actually. I think the Star Trek vote had a lot to do with putting him over in Iowa.
And by the way, Mr. Obama LOVES being compared to the Vulcan. And vice versa for Mr. Nimoy.

@1ownjoo2 Ahh you are correct my friend. However, by his own admission, he always prefered science over command, but he served as captain never the less.

Spoke was a commander, but if you ever watched the movies he was a Captian for at least 2 or 3 of them.

Obama is more like Molly O'Brien, whinny self serving, and supurfluous! Love Kate Mulgrew as an actress but I tend to put little stock in celebrities political opinions. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and this is hers. Awesome, I just don't happen to agree. I know I have a beard so I must be the evil version of myself lol!

Well, I just love to hear Captain Janeway speak.. she, not unlike Obama, is very articulate and thoughtful in her speech.. and she is one hell of a lady. I admire her a lot!!!!
