Old-fashioned letter writing is making a comeback among a group of elementary students whose teachers met as pen-pals almost 20 years ago. Steve Hartman reports for "Assignment America."
i think this is a wonderful idea. i remember when it was so easy to find penpals decades ago, through magazines which made it easier because you already had something to "talk" about in letters.
emails cannot provide the joy that one gets from reading a letter that someone had to take time out of their day to write, place in an envelope and send through the post. friendships have real meaning when you write letters to one another. that died yeeeears ago.
Do they teach history here?
No.
Ah, okay.
Haha!
