This is a quick guide I made to show how to install the new mic upgrade for the BT Rip Clip to make it sensitive enough to work on the TM-7 and TM-15 Paintball Markers.

*Disclaimer* this is simply how I do the install, this does not mean it is the only way nor the best way, I am far from an electronics or soldering expert. If you damage your board following this guide I can not be held responsible. I have personally installed over 100 Mics via this method.

  • where do u buy the mic?

  • @kalek24 flascpaintball. com

  • Can you please tell me what the mic is I need to use to replace the one in my RC cos im in the UK and to buy one of these from the US would cost me more than twice as much in shipping than the cost of the mic.

  • @TheMagicNumb3r you need a mic that is -36 db rating, (-40 will also work but not as well as the -36) 6 mm wide by i beleive it is 2.5mm tall, but I thing you can get away with a bit taller and still have it fit, I beleive you also want 3v for voltage

  • @MrRickahlack831 I wouldnt say the board makes it faster, just more sensitive and featuristic, IE RF activation or better sound modes, it may have some play, dont know enough to be sure, but I dont see it having much, not a cap anyways..

  • @hvoortman Oh okay....so the board in the RC is what makes it faster then? oh okay.....i have it on my phenom and i have it set at 17 balls a sec....with stock mic which has not had a problem.....but i would like 20bps with no hick ups.

  • @MrRickahlack831 ive heard of people using overdrive mods from new designz in the rip clip, but havent tried it myself, the rip clip drive cone itself is much smaller, so there may be chances of breaking paint if you have it spinning too fast or increased popcorning when getting low on paint (trying for 30BPS for example) but never tried it myself.

  • @MrRickahlack831 yes and no, I put a Magna board in my rip clips once, the problem however was that the rip clip board slot is very small and wont fit larger boards, so I had to externally case it. was more for kicks then anything as the rip clip itself is pretty fast (20+) and I cant see any reason to go faster, so I only used it once just so I could say that I did before I went back to the stock board.

  • Great video man.....i have a question for you.....some one told me a long time ago you could mod the rip clip with Halo boards or parts so you can have a super fast RC....is that true? if so what can you mod other than just the mic?

  • Thanks for the quick reply dude.Ill try to find one here, if not ill prob get one from you anyway :D
