you gotta understand this is a THICK cymbal and is to be used in very LOUD settings.....personally I think the Z custom mega bell kicks the shit outta any other "mega bell" pussy rides made by sabian, paiste, or meinl.

@leach987654321 I agree, the ride actually sounds great for "LOUD" situations, you can actually hear the "pings" that overpowers the loud amps I play with in my band
If the ride actually becomes overwhelming for me, I just put on some moongels for duct tape on the cymbal

@stixflix06 Totally agreed with you there man; the Eclipse is nuts. The Blue Bell, is similarly amazing. Zildjian and Sabian (And Meinl as well) definitely a few nice cymbals, but in my experience, for every good thing they have, Paiste's got a better one :P

@leach987654321 you clearly haven't heard the 24" rude mega bell from paiste. it is a fucking monster, has the best bell sound of any ride i've heard.

I use z customs because I keep breaking k customs and love the sound have not lost a z in over 6 months

@leach987654321 lol the ones made by Meinl, Sabian and Paiste are all bigger and thicker, and i'm not sure if your a Zildjian fan boy or anything (nothing against you if you are) but it does come down to opinion, and the reason the Z custom is more popular, is cause its the cheapest lol

The drummer from Red Chevrons uses one of these, if you listen to their songs you can hear it records incredibly well!
