The physical actor for the Shredder and the voice actor for the Shredder did an incredible job to make it seem like they are one in the same.

@IBroLLyISePhIrOtH Nope, he knows ninjutsu. Take a better and closer look at his outfit, especially his mask and helmet. And all the knives on his hand, forearms, shoulders and forelegs. What does it all look like? Do you think that he could beat four very well trained NINJA Turtles with Karate or Aikido?

@ZAPPSOFT I agree. I think Nolan and Burton should make a new TMNT movie with a dark and mysterious story. All the money nonsense and extreme technology nonsense in movie making spoiled everything up. The new producers must put aside all that craziness about extreme technology stuff and silly stories and ideas for a while at least, to come up with such a great old style beyond-classic masterpiece like this today.
