I loved this movie, I just hated that all the parents back then were outraged at the fighting and violence in which caused the 2&3 movies to become jokes much like the earlier batman franchise.

I cannot believe this film is almost 20 years old. O.O

This was by far the best turtles movie. What sucks though was the wasted potential for the sequel. I remember as a kid wondering why the hell we got losers like Toka and Razor instead of Bebop and Rocksteady? Ofcourse now I know it was because of the creators, but to this day I never quite understood why they seemed to have this hatred for the old 80's cartoon? I mean, was a mutant dog and snapping turtle somehow less stupid than a mutant warthog and rhino?

you have to understand it by knowing what the source material is man. When the turtles started out they were very dark characters and were by no means a saturday morning cartoon they were quite brutal im some ways. But then comes the cartoon which completely dumbed them down with more mutant monsters I mean how would you like it if someone took something of yours and made it what it wasnt(not that I hate the cartoon its just you have to understand where they are coming from)
