Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Sonic & Tails) - Extra - Sonic 3's Final Boss

Normally if you play Sonic 3 how it was originally intended with Sonic & Knuckles locked on, you will never face this boss as Sonic, but if you played Sonic 3 without any lock on, this would be the boss you fight after destroying Twin Laser.

Armed Robotnik can be simple, but if you don't know what you're doing, you're screwed. First, he can only be hit in the middle, because the top of the machine is lined with spikes, and he has two huge hands that will grab you and slam you down onto the platform, causing you to lose your rings. As a matter of fact, Armed Robotnik is capable of knocking you out of your super form. But anyway, for the pattern, you get two chances to hit him, then he moved around at the top of the screen, then comes down so he can sweep the platform with the spikes. After that, just repeat the same process over and over.

Afterwards, the platform detaches and Sonic looks on as the Death Egg blows up, but Sonic & Knuckles' release later that year retcons this ending.
