music by Sebadoh, from Bakesale (1994)

Lyrics:
I've gotta find a way to loosen up
I'm wound tighter than a magnet's coil
The longer I try to keep my mouth shut
The sooner little brain is gonna boil
And if you turn back just to fuck me up
I'll cut you loose and watch you fall
It feels good just to bitch about it
Scratch that itch until it bleeds
But I don't really wanna lose you
But I can't play the silent game
It's 'cause when I talk the silence follows
You never say what's on your mind
If you laugh to see me so defensive
I'll know I've made another enemy
Nobody wants another mirror on their fears
I guess that's all you are to me
But I don't really wanna lose this
Does it all depend on me?
It's always personal between us
You won't say what's on your mind
What's on your mind
What's on your mind

  • Screw Bieber fever, i got Sebadoh sindrome

  • Their lyrics are always sooo good. I know it's supposed to sound lo-fi and whatever, but it would be nice to hear a cleaner version, just so I can hear the words without looking them up.

  • @zombiedog66 i know. it is depressing. i am thankful to have grown up when i did and not now. and thank goodness i can listen to this music and be transported back into time. :)

  • It must be something in the water. I did not realize Dayton had that much talent.

Seattle, San Fran, Athens, Raleigh, Gainesviile yes. But Dayton. I do love D Jr.

with or without Lou Barlow. But Sebadoh is great.

  • @zombiedog66 the same thing that happened to every other genre of GOOD music- either ignored, pushed aside for more lucrative avenues or just pure lack of talent these days.

  • silence is the only way to express my feelings for Lou

  • i saw these guys at the national not to long ago...

  • Good Ole Raw American Indie Rock

  • @Vodalus1 It's on youtube.
