Toyota has had a huge recall because of a tendency for the gas pedal to become stuck in the downward position on certain models. This video helps to let you know what to do if it happens to you! If you want the MP3 message me, and pass on to anyone you know with a Toyota.

  • I own an older model Toyota from the 1980s and still drive it occasionally with no recalls, virtually, but can I still have the MP3 for this please? :)

  • @terceldude message me ur email

  • How about turn the key to cut the Engine? Duh! I know it is a panic situation and so your brain is not working but 911 dispatchers should be smart enough to make that suggestion.

  • Good idea, but some cars are push button starts, and in a panicked situation someone may not be thinking to hold it or push it three times, or whatever it requires.

  • omfg awesome

what a stupid ass defect, even my old man's lada designed in the 60s never had problems like this!

  • @alexkvaskov Thanks, yeah its all electronic now. I saw Toyota came out with a "fix" today, but in some cases it doesnt sound like the pedal that might be causing it.

  • @Umbreona if you shut the engine down you can lose the power steering, making the car much harder to control and you would also lose the pressure in the brake lines making it impossible to stop any time soon

  • @Umbreona the thing with that the car will be hard to turn now with no power steering. and dont help the wheel might lock up

  • best song i've heard in awhile lol

  • @LexusFman Yes a kill switch would be great, except for the fact that the problem meant that nothing in the car responded, shifting in neutral, trying to turn the car off, etc. None of that worked because the computer failed to respond.

  • Wow! Pay a premium for a supposedly "quality" vehicle and plan on over-the-top DEFENSIVE driving for the duration of ownership!! OH, WHAT A FEELING! You've GOT to be kidding!! NO...this is unconscionable!

  • Seems to me that these items are more distracting to the vehicle owner than a cell phone would be! Imagine an owner who now has to dig his/her foot up under the floor mat while also worrying about manipulating the gearshift and/or try to push the on/off button for 3 seconds----ALL while going over 100 MPH and trying to avoid hitting all the slower traffic!! Even a race car driver couldn't manage THAT!

  • Have your read the affected owners accounts? The brakes do NOT work at the time this phenomenon occurs! As a matter of fact, some owners cite that "hitting the brake" actually initiates the SUA response!

This isn't a funny situation; why is the gentleman chuckling? It is incredible how Toyota is minimizing this problem! Apparently, it is OK for Toyota promoters to shout obscenities or scream at the audience like a madman in order to make the affected owners feel small!
